HRT Participações em Petróleo has discovered oil and gas in the 1-HRT-4-AM well, located in the SOL-T-194 block, Solimões Basin, Brazil.
The well, which was spudded in August, was drilled to a final depth of 2,806m, reaching the crystalline basement.
HRT intersected two gas-bearing intervals with a net pay of 11.2m, and five oil-bearing intervals with a net pay of 41.2m in the Juruá Formation.
The well is under evaluation and will be cased to perform formation tests to characterise the production potential of the reservoirs.
HRT holds a 55% interest in 21 exploration blocks in the Solimões Basin, covering a total area of 48.5km2.
