Kenya Petroleum Refineries has selected IBM’s new solution to increase the productivity and efficiency of its refinery operations in East Africa.

The company will utilise IBM’s Maximo asset management software for its production equipment, facilities and IT systems to reduce risk and control costs.

The software solution will also enable Kenya Petroleum to manage, measure and track the life cycle of its oil-processing equipment.

This equipment will include pipes, heat exchangers, pumps, valves, boilers, furnaces, compressors, tanks and turbines.

The solution will also provide improved inventory and procurement management, reducing obsolete and duplicate stock for Kenya Petroleum.
