Leni Gas & Oil (LGO) has confirmed that the GY-668 well has intersected 191ft of net oil pay in the Goudron Sandstones, Trinidad, based on independent petrophysical analysis of the electric logging.
GY-668 is the fifth of LGO’s planned 30 new development wells at the Goudron field in Trinidad, and the fourth well from the drill pad.
In order to isolate the Goudron Sandstone, the well has been cased to a measure depth of 1,936ft.
The company now intends to drill ahead to the primary Gros Morne Sandstone oil target, which is expected at about 2,150ft true-vertical depth (TVD).
The GY-668 well has a planned depth of 3,000ft, equal to 2,880ft TVD to a bottom-hole location, which is about 680ft west of the surface location.
After reaching the total depth, the well will be logged and cased ready for completion as a production well.
