An amendment on the product sharing agreement (PSA) for the Kandym group of fields, Khauzak, Shady and Kungrad was signed in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

This amendment on PSA was signed by Republic of Uzbekistan Deputy Prime Minister Gulomzhon Ibragimov, PJSC Lukoil vice president Sergey Nikiforov and National Holding Company (NHC) Uzbekneftegaz executive board chairman Alisher Sultanovhave.

The amendment includes several adjustments to the economic indicators of Kandym-Khauzak-Shady-Kungrad PSA.

These adjustments will enable a favourable project implementation conditions for the investors’ consortium, PJSC Lukoil and NHC Uzbekneftegaz.

The PSA on Kandym-Khauzak-Shady-Kungrad areas was signed in June 2004.

The first facility in Khauzak-Shady gas field in Bukhara region was commissioned in November 2007.

This April, the investors began building Kandym Gas Processing Complex, thereby advancing the PSA.

The Kandym Gas Processing Complex will comprise a gas treatment plant that can produce 8.1 billion cubic metres of gas per year, as well as a natural gas gathering system, which, at its peak, will comprise 114 producing wells, 11 well pads and four gathering stations.

As part of this project, 370km of gas pipelines will be installed and 160km of motorways will be built. Around 7,000 people will be involved in the construction of the complex and infrastructure facilities.

The Kandym group of six gas condensate fields consists of Kandym, Kuvachi-Alat, Akkum, Parsankul, Khoji and West Khoji.
