With an aim to enhance its product offering to its midstream and downstream customers, US-based oilfield products company Forum Energy Technologies has acquired two companies named Cooper Valves and Innovative Valve Components.
Cooper Valves manufactures Accuseal metal seated ball valves, gate valves, globe valves and check valves for multiple end-user industries.

Both target companies are also based in the US.
GTM do Brasil Comercio de Produtos Químicos, a subsidiary of Costa Rica-based chemical distribution company GTM Holdings, has signed an agreement with Brazilian petrochemical company Braskem to acquire quantiQ Distribuidora from the latter.
The purchase consideration for the acquisition is fixed at R$550m ($172m), of which R$450m ($140.73m) will be paid at closing and the remaining in 12 months after closing of the transaction.
The target company is also a chemical product distributor.
