US E&P firm Petro-Hunter has started oil and gas production from its second horizontal well, NOW-2H, at the North Oklahoma Mississippi Lime project in the US.

The firm is conducting commercial testing and evaluation, which will determine if further reservoir fracture stimulation will prove beneficial.

Production data from the lateral penetration of the Mississippi limestone formation will be assessed and evaluated.

The substantial oil-filled pay thickness at NOW-2H will be perforated and tested once all down-hole developments of the Mississippi portions of the well are finished.

At NOM-1H, Petro-Hunter is pumping off hydraulic fluids in the productive sections of the well, and has so far recovered half the frack fluid load.
