Plexus is to supply surface wellhead and mudline equipment services for Det norske oljeselskap’s exploration well on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
As part of the supply agreement, the company will deliver its standard pressure 18-3/4in 15M surface wellhead and mudline system for the well.
The company is planning to use the Maersk Interceptor Jackup (XLE) class rig to drill the well.
Plexus said that the new well will be the eighth of Det norske to use its POS-GRIP wellhead equipment since 2012.
Plexus CEO Ben Van Bilderbeek said: "What makes this latest order with Det norske particularly encouraging is that it has been awarded at a time when drilling activity in the North Sea and other hydrocarbon regions has dropped off sharply on the back of the volatile oil price environment.
"Together with the contracts we were awarded in Oman and Malaysia earlier in the year, we have now won three contracts in the first two months of 2016.

By GlobalData"Having been used in over 400 wells around the world, the superior performance, reliability, and safety of our POS-GRIP technology compared to other competing products is proven."
Initially, POS-GRIP technology was created as a method of supporting oil field tubulars with an externally activated radial friction grip.
As part of its first application in the oil and gas industry, it was introduced as an adjustable rental wellhead system for jack-up exploration drilling.
