With the arrival of the new shipment to South Hook, the total number of Qatari LNG cargos imported to the UK are more than 600.

South Hook LNG terminal is part of the Qatargas 2 value chain and is a joint venture between affiliates of Qatar Petroleum, ExxonMobil and Total.

With the smaller Dragon LNG terminal, South Hook can handle up to 25% of the UK’s gas requirement. It is built to store and re-gasify liquefied natural gas imported from the Qatargas 2 plant.

The first tanker docked on 20 March 2009.
