Quanta Services has acquired the business of Banister Pipelines to expand its Canadian mainline pipeline services offering.
Based in Nisku, Alberta, Banister Pipelines provides mainline pipeline construction and maintenance services in Canada.

The acquisition provides Banister’s customer base with access to Quanta Services’ energy infrastructure resources.
As a Quanta Services firm, the business will operate under the name Banister Pipelines Constructors.
The company is expected to generate about $350m in revenue for the full year of 2015.
Quanta Services president and chief executive officer Jim O’Neil said: "We anticipate unprecedented levels of investment in pipeline and related infrastructure to occur in Canada over the next several years, driven by the development of the Canadian oil sands and unconventional shale formations.
