
Rosneft subsidiary, RN Vankor has initiated the operational drilling at the Tagulskoye field, located close to Vankor oil and gas field in Siberia.
Four production wells and one injection well at the well pad number five are expected to be completed at the end of the year.

The drilling is being done by using horizontal and directional methods in the reservoir of the Jakovlev formation. A second drilling rig is also being installed at the field’s well pad number four.
RN Vankor is anticipating completion of drilling five wells at the field this year.
The operational drilling programme, overall, is projecting construction of 39 well pads and 506 wells (267 production and 239 injection ones) at the Tagulskoye field.

As on 1 January, the recoverable ABC1+C2 reserves of the Tagulskoye field amounted to 286 million tonnes of oil and condensate, and 228 billion cubic metres of gas.
During the Tagulsky project implementation phase, oil preparation unit, a field support base, a temporary complex for construction workers, motorways, intrafield pipelines, and high-tension power lines will also be constructed.
