Saipem has secured E&C offshore contract from Saudi Aramco for EPCI activities and trunk lines and installation (T&I) works in Saudi Arabia, under a long-term agreement, which was renewed in 2015 until 2021.
Under the scope of the contract, Saipem will design, engineer, procure, construct and install 19 jackets for fields of Marjan, Zuluf, Berri, Hasbah, and Safaniya. These are important offshore fields in the Arabian Gulf.

Saipem CEO Stefano Cao said: “With this award, Saipem is further reinforcing its presence a highly strategic area such as the Middle East."
Furthermore, Saipem has negotiated on the extension of the deployment of FPSO Gimboa vessel in Angola. This negotiation includes on management and maintenance services, personnel, material and consumable supplies for three years, in addition to one optional year.
Saipem has also announced the change in orders for projects in West Africa and in the Caspian Sea.
Combined, these new orders will touch $500m.
