France-based Technip has secured a contract worth €100m from Swedish firm Lundin Petroleum to carry out subsea work on the Brynhild development in the Norwegian North Sea.
The field, previously named Nemo, is located a few kilometres east of the boundary to UK waters at a water depth of 80m.
The Brynhild field development will consist of three wells tied back to the Shell Pierce platform.
The contract also includes spools, tie-ins, trenching and protection of the flow-lines, and the installation of subsea structures and the control umbilical.
The installation will be carried out in 2013 using Technip’s Apace II.
