Technip has received a two-year extension from Statoil for its pipeline repair system pool services contract.

The contract involves the maintenance and operation of Statoil’s PRS Pool, which is located at Killingøy in Haugesund, Norway.

Technip’s responsibility is to ensure that the PRS is ready for contingency operations and that qualified personnel are available to operate the equipment should an emergency operation be required.

Technip was awarded a new completion date of 1 December 2014 under the terms of the new contract.

The PRS is used for planned marine operations, which include hot-taps and hyperbaric welding operations (tie-ins).

Technip will deliver the contract in partnership with DeepOcean.
