Technip

French engineering services firm Technip has secured a new framework agreement from three energy firms, Statoil, Exxon Mobil and Gassco, to provide diving, subsea intervention and repair contingency services.

Technip will deliver the services for the next four years under the agreement, which replaces an existing frame agreement held for eight years.

The new contract, effective 1 December 2014, also includes an option for about seven additional years.

Under the deal, Technip will undertake diving and remote operations using its diving support vessels and/or construction vessels.

The area of operation includes continental areas from the Barents Sea to the Mediterranean Sea, the Baltic Sea and north Atlantic Ocean, as well as Newfoundland, Canada.

The company’s operating centre in Stavanger, Norway, will oversee and execute the projects.
