Norwegian seismic player TGS is set to conduct its new Crean 3D (CRN 3D) multi-client acquisition project on the Irish Atlantic Margin.
As part of the project, the company will conduct a survey that includes an area of more than 5,400km² in the South Porcupine Basin between the Porcupine High and the Irish Mainland Platform.
The project consists of multi-level targets such as paleocene and mesozoic channel/fan systems overlying tilted fault blocks.
TGS will procure new 3D data that will enable to delineate multiple plays at different levels using higher spatial resolution.
The project is expected to start in June, and data processing will be performed using TGS’ Clari-Fi broadband technology.
TGS CEO Kristian Johansen said: “CRN 3D will expand TGS' modern 3D coverage in the underexplored Porcupine Basin.
