UGI subsidiary UGI Energy Services (UGIES) is to spend $150m on extending its Auburn gathering system in Pennsylvania, US.
The Auburn system will be extended 30 miles from its terminus in Wyoming County to Luzerne County, and includes a planned connection to the Transcontinental Gas Pipeline.
When the extension is complete, the Auburn gathering system will link Marcellus Shale production areas in Susquehanna and Wyoming counties with Pennsylvania and interstate markets.
UGIES recently completed its portion of its Auburn gathering system from Wyoming County to the Tennessee gas pipeline in Susquehanna County and has placed it into service.
