UK-based Wood Group has secured a $150m contract extension to deliver operations, maintenance and technical support across Nexen’s North Sea offshore assets.
The assets include Buzzard, Scott and Golden Eagle platforms.
The latest five-year contract is an extension of Wood Group PSN’s (WGPSN) contract, which has been in place since April 2010.
Wood Group PSN is a division of Wood Group.
More than 190 jobs are retained under the contract, which will take place with immediate effect and improves Wood Group’s relationship with Nexen in the UKCS.
WGPSN managing director in the UK and Africa James Crawford said: "Working in partnership with Nexen, we have proactively added value, maximised productivity and enhanced efficiency and safety across these assets.

WGPSN’s latest contract is the third extension secured in the UKCS in 2016.
The company announced a two-year contract with TAQA earlier this month, extending its provision of engineering, construction and maintenance services to five UKCS offshore assets including Cormorant Alpha, North Cormorant, Eider, Tern and Harding.
Prior to this, in February 2016, the company secured an extension to continue to support Chevron Upstream Europe across four North Sea assets.
