Wood Group has received a contract from Premier Oil to provide front-end engineering design (FEED) services to Tolmount offshore field development in the North Sea.
Under the contract, Wood Group will be responsible for providing topsides, jacket, pipeline, flow assurance and subsea engineering for Tolmount offshore assets and export pipeline that links into the Dimlington onshore terminal in Humberside.

Wood Group chief executive Robin Watson said: "This award demonstrates the integrated solutions that we are uniquely positioned to provide; bringing facility engineering, specialist technical solutions and our operational reputation to front-end engineering design.

The contract has become effective immediately.

By GlobalDataLast year, Premier Oil acquired a 50% operating interest in the Tolmount gasfield, which was the result of its acquisition of E.ON's UK North Sea assets.
Discovered in 2011, an appraisal drilling was conducted at the property in 2013.
The Tolmount field is estimated to contain approximately 450 billion cubic feet (gross). Premier’s partner in Tomount is Dana.
