Wood Group has received a $50m contract from Premier Oil for operations at two offshore platforms in the North Sea.

Under this two-year contract, Wood Group will be providing topside operations and maintenance services at the Balmoral floating production vessel (FPV) in the Central North Sea and the Solan installation, West of Shetland.

The contract furthers Wood Group’s association with Premier Oil at the UKCS, with three one-year extension options. Wood Group has been providing operations, maintenance and engineering services to the Balmoral FPV since 2012.

Under a separate contract awarded in 2014, Wood Group has been supporting Premier Oil with the delivery of fabric maintenance services for the Balmoral FPV. Balmoral area includes four fields in Balmoral, Stirling, Brenda and Nicol, which are located in Blocks 16/21a and 16/21b approximately 200km from Aberdeen.
