Wood Group has won an offshore engineering blanket order with Pemex Procurement International for field development work in the Gulf of Mexico waters.

The latest three-year contract includes deepwater and complex shallow water concept and basic engineering, as well as owner engineer services.

Subsea, pipeline and riser engineering and management contractor Wood Group Kenny and project management, construction management, engineering and procurement services provider Wood Group Mustang will carry out the work.

"Their integrated solution will include best practices for offshore and complex facilities that will help to expand Mexico’s offshore capabilities."

Under the $28m contract, Wood Group will take up field development planning and engineering of topsides facilities; subsea umbilicals, risers and flowlines (SURF), as well as floating systems.

Services will be performed by the company at various potential oil and gas developments in Mexican waters.
