Peak Utility Services Group has acquired Superior Pipeline Services (SPS), a US-based natural gas utility services contractor.
Superior Pipeline Services is engaged in providing pipeline construction, gas maintenance, and emergency repair services for oil and gas exploration companies and energy producers in the Greater Dallas, Fort Worth, Texas region.
It also provides gas distribution services, custom fabrication, pipeline installation, construction of containment rings, installation of pipeline metering facilities, sandblasting, painting, and full site clean-up.
Peak Utility Services CEO Jason Pickett said: “We are thrilled to partner with a best-in-class provider in an attractive, fast-growing market with significant demand for natural gas utility maintenance, repair and installation.”
Peak Utility Services expects the deal to strengthen its position in Texas’ growing utility services space.
Financial terms of the deal were undisclosed.

ORIX Capital Partners, a business unit of ORIX Corporation USA, acquired Peak Utility Services in 2018.
Commenting on the latest deal, ORIX Capital Partners director Mohammed Khali said: “We view SPS as a great addition to the platform, which brings Peak front-and-centre into a highly attractive market.”
Khali noted that the acquisition supports Peak’s position as a ‘leading provider’ of mission-critical utility services.
Peak Utility Services Group is engaged in providing maintenance, repair, upgrade and installation services for the telecom, electric and natural gas infrastructure markets in the Pacific Northwest and Intermountain West regions of the US.
