Speedcast International has secured a contract to provide IT communications equipment and fully managed connectivity services to Noble’s global drilling fleet.

Under the contract, the company will provide deliver end-to-end managed communication services to Noble’s vessel and rig fleet through a combination of satellite very small aperture terminals (VSAT) and 4G/LTE in key regions.

The contract also includes replacement of the fleet’s entire hardware infrastructure and installation of dual-band antennas, as well as modem technologies to optimise throughput, security, and redundancy.

The segmented operational and crew networks are intended to optimise Noble’s  efficiency and network availability.

Speedcast’s round-the-clock global customer service centres will provide end-to-end service, as well as deploy local field engineers in each operating region to help provide efficient support.
