Dutch advanced completions and production optimisation provider Tendeka has secured a contract from the Kuwait Oil Company (KOC).
Under the contract, Tendeka will supply its Inflow Control Device (ICD) technology to KOC.
The ICD technology is designed to increase production through more effective reservoir management.
As part of the multi-million-pound deal, the company will install advanced ICD equipment in 55 horizontal wells over a period of two years in Northern Kuwait.
Tendeka chief operating officer Scott Watters said: “This marks the first independent service company to win such a significant lower completion contract in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). It’s a significant milestone in our growth in the Middle East and is, I am sure, the first of other such awards.”
The company is required to perform reservoir simulations for each well, collaborating with KOC to ensure optimum reservoir performance.
