The company has received a contract for the extension of maintenance services at the Gorgon LNG project and Wheatstone facilities in Western Australia. The facilities are operated by Chevron.

UGL is engaged in delivering mechanical, electrical, and access services for maintenance, plant turnaround and brownfield execution services to these Chevron facilities. These support services will help generate 1,000 skilled employees and create apprenticeship opportunities.

CIMIC Group CEO Juan Santamaria said: “These contracts exemplify the strength of UGL’s solid client relationships and its position as a market leader in the delivery of maintenance and mechanical, electrical and instrumentation services to the oil and gas industry.”

The company also secured an integrated services contract extension for structural, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation. These will be delivered for the company’s existing clients operating in the field of oil and gas in Western Australia and Victoria.
