L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Offshore (LTEH Offshore), a division of Indian conglomerate Larsen & Toubro (L&T), has been awarded a series of contracts by Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) for projects off the west coast of India.

The scope covers the Pipeline Replacement Project (PRP-X) and Well Head Platforms Project.

Although the financial terms were not fully disclosed, L&T indicated that the contract value lies between Rs50bn ($525.2m) and Rs100bn ($1.05bn).

L&T stated that the Pipeline Replacement Project involves engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning (EPCIC) of several subsea pipeline segments.

The work also includes related modification activities across ONGC’s offshore fields.

Meanwhile, the Well Head Platforms Project involves the delivery of four well head platforms on an EPCIC basis.

LTEH Offshore provides integrated solutions for the offshore oil and gas industry.

The business division is involved in the execution of fixed platforms, subsea pipelines, brownfield upgrades, and decommissioning works, both in shallow and deep waters.

Over the past 40 years, the company has delivered a range of projects for the offshore industry.

L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Offshore senior vice president and head Parthasarathi Chatterjee said: “These orders reaffirm LTEH Offshore’s position as a trusted partner in the development of India’s offshore energy infrastructure.

“They reflect the confidence customers place in our integrated EPCIC capabilities, extensive project execution experience and unwavering commitment to safety and operational excellence.

“We look forward to delivering these projects to ONGC and contributing to the nation’s energy aspirations”.

Last month, L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Onshore, another division of L&T, was awarded a contract from the Kuwait Oil Company for work related to the Jurassic Light Oil export facilities.

The scope of the contract includes engineering, procurement and construction, as well as an upgrade to Kuwait’s existing crude export network.
