L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Onshore, a division of Indian conglomerate Larsen & Toubro (L&T), has obtained a contract from Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) for work related to the Jurassic Light Oil export facilities.

The contract involves engineering, procurement, construction and an upgrade to Kuwait’s existing crude export network.

L&T did not disclose the exact contract amount but indicated that it falls within the Rs50bn ($522.4m)–Rs100bn range.

Under the terms of the contract, L&T will handle the construction of six crude oil storage tanks, each capable of holding 618,000 barrels, along with associated facilities.

The project includes the installation of new pipelines as well as upgrades to current crude loading and export infrastructure in Kuwait.

This work is intended to increase capacity and improve the country’s crude handling operations.

The project will be delivered on a lump-sum turnkey (LSTK) basis, with L&T being responsible for the full delivery of the project, from design through to completion and handover.

L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Onshore provides end-to-end LSTK project delivery for the upstream, midstream and downstream oil and gas value chain.
