TechnipFMC has secured a contract from Azule Energy to deliver flowlines and risers for the West Hub Tails project, an expansion of the Agogo Integrated Development in Block 15/06, offshore Angola.

Azule Energy is a joint venture between Eni and BP.

The contract is described by TechnipFMC as “significant”, which the company defines as having a value between $75m and $250m.

This award is scheduled to be included in TechnipFMC’s inbound orders during the third quarter of 2026.

Under the terms of the contract, TechnipFMC will be responsible for the design and manufacture of flexible flowlines, risers, and associated equipment.

These components are intended to facilitate production gathering from the West Hub area, enabling consolidation of output into the Agogo Floating Production, Storage, and Offloading (FPSO) vessel.

TechnipFMC Subsea president Jonathan Landes said: “We appreciate Azule’s continued trust in TechnipFMC to support the Agogo development, where our team has an exemplary track record of safe, on-time execution across two previous phases. We are excited to deliver a robust solution with schedule certainty on this fast-track development.”

In August 2025, Eni announced the start of production from the Agogo Integrated West Hub (Agogo IWH) development project, which is operated by Azule Energy in the lower Congo Basin.

The Agogo IWH covers full field development of the Agogo and Ndungu fields, holding combined reserves of approximately 450 million barrels (mbbl) and a targeted peak output of around 180,000 barrels per day (bpd).

The launch of the Agogo floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) marked the beginning of production only 29 months after final investment decision, reportedly around 12 months ahead of average timelines for deepwater projects of this size.

The Agogo and Ndungu development began under Eni prior to Azule Energy’s formation.

Eni had highlighted its strategy of minimising time-to-market and carbon emissions using a phased approach, which saw Agogo phase 1 start up in 2020 just nine months after discovery.
