Wison Engineering has secured an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract valued at approximately $4.04bn (27.22bn yuan) from ADNOC Gas for phase two of the Rich Gas Development (RGD) Project in the Habshan area of Abu Dhabi.

ADNOC Gas is the gas processing unit of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC).

The contract covers the construction of a new large-scale natural gas processing train and a 220kV switch station at the Habshan site.

According to Wison, this is the largest EPC contract in the company’s history.

The RGD phase two project is intended to expand ADNOC Gas’ processing capacity and support the United Arab Emirates’ downstream and petrochemical sectors.

The scope of work includes installation of gas pipelines, separation and condensate stabilisation units, acid gas removal systems, core deep natural gas liquids recovery units and related critical process facilities.

The RGD phase two award is seen by Wison as a landmark for its expanding operations in the Middle East.

The company stated that it would draw on its experience in the design and management of large-scale oil and gas processing infrastructure and manage the project through a combination of local operations in Abu Dhabi and an international supply chain.

Wison said project execution would focus on ensuring high standards of safety and quality.

The company also indicated that the additional capacity from the new processing train is expected to offer ADNOC Gas greater operational flexibility.

Wison further stated that the deal aligns with ADNOC Gas’ 2030 strategic growth objectives and supports efforts to enhance energy infrastructure in key international markets.

In January 2026, ADNOC Gas agreed to supply liquefied natural gas for a period of ten years to Hindustan Petroleum Corporation in a deal valued between $2.5bn (Dh9.18bn) and $3bn.
