Worley has been awarded a reimbursable engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract by Venture Global for the CP2 expansion project, a liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility in Cameron Parish, Louisiana, US.
The new agreement follows Worley’s involvement in early-stage engineering for the project, carried out under a Master Services Agreement.

Venture Global is targeting a final investment decision (FID) for the CP2 expansion in early 2027.
Worley has also provided EPC services for the project’s Phase 1 and Phase 2.
The Houston, Baton Rouge, and Reading offices will lead the current work, supported by Worley’s Global Integrated Delivery (GID) team.
Worley CEO Chris Ashton said: “We are proud to have extended our relationship with Venture Global on one of the most strategically important LNG projects globally, which is set to provide energy supply and security at an important time.
“Worley has identified LNG as a priority growth market where we have an established leadership position and demonstrated execution capability at scale.”
In March 2026, Venture Global reached an FID for the second phase of CP2 and announced it had closed project financing of $8.6bn for this phase.
Together with phase one funding, phase two is described as the largest single project financing completed in the US bank sector.
The financial transactions for phase two attracted over $19bn in commitments from a range of international banks, in addition to $34bn for phase one.
Venture Global noted that no external equity investment was required for the financing arrangements.
Once operational, CP2 is expected to achieve a peak production capacity of 29 million tonnes per annum (mtpa).
The majority of its LNG output is contracted to long-term customers, primarily based in Europe and Asia.
Venture Global now holds a total contracted capacity of more than 49mtpa across its three Louisiana projects.
The CP2 facility is situated on an estimated 1,150-acre site adjacent to Venture Global’s Calcasieu Pass LNG terminal.
The site includes a marine facility on Monkey Island, LNG storage tanks, marine berths, and a combined cycle gas turbine power plant. The associated CP Express pipeline delivers natural gas to the terminal from Texas.
