Capstone Turbine Corporation has sold six C65 microturbines to a natural gas producer.
The six new C65s, to be installed in June 2011, will expand the producer’s minigrid system in New Mexico’s San Juan Basin.
The microturbines will allow the producer to pump water from tanks at each wellsite to a central water disposal facility to return it to the ground, thus eliminating the need for water hauling.
The systems will be part of a microturbine generation station that provides power to pumping and water transfer units at remote sites.
