Kinder Morgan Energy and Copano Energy’s joint venture, Eagle Ford Gathering, has entered into a long-term agreement with Williams Partners to process Eagle Ford Shale production at the Williams Partners Markham gas processing plant in Texas, US.
Under the terms of agreement, Eagle Ford will construct a seven-mile, 20in lateral to connect to the crossover gas pipeline project to the Markham plant and install approximately 3,400hp of compression, at a cost of about $27m.
Eagle Ford Gathering will have access to the 100mcfpd of gas processing capacity at the Markham plant, with an option to increase its capacity to up to 200mcfpd.
Kinder Morgan and Copano are planning to invest approximately $300m through Eagle Ford Gathering in midstream infrastructure to provide gathering, transportation, processing and fractionation services to Eagle Ford Shale producers.
