Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) has awarded Foster Wheeler a process design and front-end engineering design (FEED) contract for the Batalla Santa Ines Refinery Phase I Hydroskimming section to be built in Barinas, Venezuela.
Under the contract, Foster Wheeler will also provide services such as preparation of the basic engineering design package and early procurement assistance for the crude distillation unit, the naphtha hydrotreater, the continuous catalytic reformer and the utilities.
The value of the contract was not disclosed.
Foster Wheeler will complete the FEED work at the refinery in the third quarter of 2011.
