Sunridge Energy has acquired a 2.5km² area at its oil prospect in North Central Alberta, Canada, increasing its land ownership to 5.8km².

The firm will conduct an exploration programme on the acquired area, which will include drilling a 1,600m short radius horizontal well and a 3D seismic programme.

Based on a previous exploration programme, the firm will also target eight short radius horizontal wells.

The property consists of two 2.5km² crown leases and five 0.6km² freehold leases, in which the firm holds a 100% working interest.
