ExxonMobil Pipeline Company’s Mobil Pipe Line Company has finished the expansion of the 858-mile Pegasus pipeline that operates from Patoka, Illinois to Nederland, Texas in the US.
Capacity of the pipeline will rise by 50%, or about 30,000 barrels per day. The extension project also contains the reactivation and development of various pump stations along the pipeline, the company said.
The rise in capacity will allow the movement of more Canadian crude from the Midwest to Gulf Coast refineries.
