The Shaw Group will provide construction management services for a benzene reduction project at a Marathon Oil Corporation refinery in Illinois, US.
Under the contract, Shaw will include management of site construction activities such as contractor selection, safety, materials management and project controls.
Construction is expected to be complete before the mandated date for the reduction of benzene content in petrol to meet new US Environmental Protection Agency standards.
The contract is a continuation of Shaw’s earlier project management, engineering and procurement services work for the feasibility and definition phases of the project.
