The well, which lies in the East Ghazalat Concession and flowed light, 34° API oil at a rate of 250 barrels per day, is currently suspended for a full test.

Safwa NW-1 is the fourth well and the second discovery in the exploration drilling programme conducted by operator Vegas Oil & Gas along with TransGlobe.
