Technip will undertake a phase III expansion project for an Indian refinery owned by Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals under new contracts.

The expansion of the unit will increase the refinery’s crude processing capacity to 15 million tonnes per year.

The contracts cover design, engineering, supply and installation of fired heaters in four major units of the crude distillation, vacuum distillation, delayed coking and petrochemical fluid catalytic cracking units.

The project is due to be completed in the first quarter of 2011.
