China National Petroleum Corporation and Uzbekistan’s Uzbekneftegaz have signed a framework agreement for the purchase and sale of natural gas in Uzbekistan.
Under the agreement, Uzbekistan will provide ten billion cubic metres of natural gas to China each year.
Both countries will cooperate to link Uzbekistan’s gas pipeline network with the Uzbekistan-China gas pipeline, which is part of the Central Asia-China Gas Pipeline.
