Byco Petroleum Pakistan plans to operate the country’s largest oil refinery in the province of Baluchistan by December 2010 in order to meet increasing demand.
Byco CEO Amir Abbassciy told Bloomberg the refinery, worth $450m, is being assembled and will have a processing capacity of 120,000 barrels a day.
Byco’s existing capacity could increased to 34,000bpd from 30,000bpd by the end of June, according to analysts.
