Reliance Industries (RIL) has spudded a sixth oil well in a block in the Cambay Basin, Gujarat, India.
Well CB10A-T1 was drilled to a depth of 1,500m to explore the play in the Miocene basal sand of the Babaguru formation and Oligocene play of the Tarapur formation.
The well spudded oil at a rate of 415 barrels of oil per day through a 6mm bean with a flowing tubing head pressure of 290psi.
The commercial interest of the discovery is being assessed through additional data gathering and analysis, the company said.
