Realm Energy has been awarded three natural gas concessions in Poland totalling an area of 464,918 acres.

The concessions comprise the fully owned Gniew concession and two other concessions, Llawa and Wegrów, each held equally by Realm Energy and Source Energy Partners (SEP).

The Gniew concession, comprising 294,296 acres, is located in the Baltic Depression, northern Poland, where Realm plans to conduct an exploration programme that requires reprocessing existing seismic data and conducting a new 100km, 2D seismic programme.

The 161,109 acres of the Ilawa concession in Gdansk will be subjected to a joint exploration programme by Realm and SEP that will also include reprocessing existing seismic data and conducting a new 50km, 2D seismic programme.

The two firms will conduct an exploration programme on the 180,136 acres Wegrów concession that includes 50km of a new 2D seismic programme and a well commitment to a depth of 2,750m within three and a half years.
