Global oil and gas upstream consultancy Add Energy has secured a new global maintenance build data centralisation contract with UK-based BP.

The £15m contract is expected to create at least 30 jobs over the next three years and will cover global maintenance data centralisation for all of BP’s upstream operating regions.

Under the contract, Add Energy will also deliver maintenance excellence, bills of materials data and efficiency improvements and global data cleansing and enhancement for BP.

A quick response team will also be available to take up maintenance and business process improvements on a regional level from BP’s central maintenance function.

"BP was looking for a cost-effective and consistent approach to the cleansing and enhancing of its maintenance and materials data, and we have a reputation for delivering."

Add Energy executive vice-president Peter Adam said: “BP was looking for a cost-effective and consistent approach to the cleansing and enhancing of its maintenance and materials data, and we have a reputation for delivering.

“With this contract we have been able to demonstrate that whilst we are small enough to care we are big enough to get the job done, backed up with a wealth of experience in delivering corporate visions through regional implementation.”

Specialists from Add Energy will collect, cleanse and enrich the maintenance data and also gather it centrally to accelerate the results delivered to the operator.

Add Energy said that the latest contract follows its existing feedback from various oil and gas clients.

Adam further added: “Operators are looking for contract performance and value for money, whilst assuring the safety of their assets remains the foremost concern.”
