
US-based Crimson Exploration has announced the successful completion of the Beeler #2H well in Dimmit County in Texas, US, at the rate of 859 barrels of oil equivalent per day (Boepd).
The discovery has a gross 24-hour initial production rate of 761 barrels of oil, 56 barrels of natural gas liquids and 253,000ft³ of natural gas on a 25/64th choke.

The well was drilled to a total measured depth of 11,013ft, with a 3,700ft lateral and completed open hole, without fracture stimulation.
It is Crimson’s first well targeting the Buda formation in Dimmit County, Texas. The firm currently has about 10,140 gross acres prospective for the Buda formation.
Crimson CEO Allan D Keel said that the company will delineate the discovery and spud its second Buda well in mid-July.
"We anticipate continued delineation across our leasehold dependent upon the results we see," he added.
