Oilfield services company Expro has secured a contract worth more than $30m for Hindustan Oil Exploration’s (HOEC) Dirok gas field in India.
Located in the Assam-Arakan basin, the field covers a development area of 110km² in north-eastern India, close to the town of Digboi.
Under the contract, Expro will provide the design, engineering, construction and transportations services, in addition to installation and commissioning of a modular gas processing plant.
The facility has the capacity to process up to 35 million standard cubic feet (mmscf) of gas per day with associated liquid condensates.
Expro Production and Asia president Keith Palmer said: “This project is a significant milestone for Expro as it marks our first ever contract in India for the provision of a fast-track modular gas processing plant on a lease, operate and maintain basis.
“I’m delighted that HOEC have chosen to partner with Expro and are confident in our production solutions and technical expertise. The plant itself will be fully operated and maintained by local Expro personnel.”
