Flint Energy Services has won a construction contract for a steam-assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) oil sands project in the Wood Buffalo region in Alberta, Canada.
Under the $430m contract, Flint Energy will build two major silos of work within the central plant facility.
Flint Energy will provide traditional mechanical and electrical direct field activities, as well as construction management and support services.
The work is scheduled to start in the first quarter of 2012 and will continue until the middle of 2014.
Flint Energy Services president and CEO WJ Lingard said that the contract demonstrates the increasing activity levels in oil sands capital investments.
