Saudi Arabian-based JGC Gulf International has won a ¥10 billion ($96.9 million) contract for Bahrain National Gas Expansion Company’s (BNGEC) gas pipeline / gas storage tank construction project in Awali, Bahrain.
Under the contract, JGC will provide engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (EPCC) services for gas pipeline and gas storage tank construction.
The project is slated for completion in September 2018 and intended to construct feed gas and product gas transfer pipelines, as well as product gas storage tanks to be used for the gas processing plant.
JGC signed a construction contract with BNGEC for the plant in January this year.
The produced oil component gases from the plant are LPG and naphtha, which will be shipped from the storage facilities and exported from Bahrain.
The construction of these facilities is expected to contribute to the further economic growth of Bahrain.
