Engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company Saudi KAD has secured four new contracts to carry out several strategic pipeline projects related to Saudi Aramco's Master Gas Programme Phase II and the Fadhili Gas Programme.
The Master Gas System capacity is set to increase to 12.5 billion standard cubic feet per day upon completion of the projects in 2018.
Saudi KAD’s work will involve the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of a pipeline network totalling 1,118km in length.
With these pipelines of different sizes extending over a distance greater than 1,000km, Saudi Aramco's capabilities to deliver sales gas to power plants and petrochemical facilities throughout Saudi Arabia will increase.
The company will also perform EPC work for valve stations, metering systems, launcher and receiver stations, fibre optic cables, in addition to road and rail crossings.
Saudi KAD chairman Ahmad Al-Jabr said: "We are deeply honoured by the trust placed in Saudi KAD by Saudi Aramco's award of these strategic projects.
