SMALL OIL SKIMMERS FOR INSHORE WATERS AND PROCESS PLANTS

Aqua-Guard's small oil skimmers are industry leaders with many product features developed for ease of operation in the field. Small oil skimmers are portable but effective both in the field and in static applications that include industrial process plants, settling ponds and separators.

SELF-CONTAINED

OFFSHORE OIL SKIMMER SYSTEMS WITH FLOATING HOSE

For offshore oil spill response applications, Aqua-Guard has developed a range of oil skimming equipment packages, designed and selected with careful consideration to provide:

• Stand-alone, self contained sets of containment and recovery equipment
• Vessel transferable packages
• Minimal impact on vessel both in retro-fitment and vessel operations
• A full range of response capability
• Safety in all aspects of operation

A remotely controlled deck-mounted system consisting of a large free-floating rotating brush skimmer with integral weir, skimmer mounted pump (up to 500m³/hr recovery), self-propelled by hydraulic powered thrusters. It is connected to a support vessel by a floating umbilical hose that contains both recovered oil and hydraulic control lines.

Several of these systems are in service and have been successfully deployed in different offshore oil fields around the world. These oil skimmers can be customized according to choice of pump, use of ship's power (or standalone diesel power pack), remote control and other features to suit customer needs.

ROTATING BRUSH / DRUM SKIMMERS FOR HEAVIER OILS (Patent Applied For)

Aqua-Guard has designed a special rotating brush / drum skimmer for heavier, waxy oils that incorporates a number of proprietary design features including a 2-stage recovery process, an induction channel to create a pumping process, wider channels for improved flow of recovered oil and a mechanical rake to break up floating oil mats. A patent on the key design features has been applied for.

CUSTOMIZED CONTAINMENT BOOMS

Aqua-Guard supplies a wide range of containment booms, each designed for specific operating parameters and applications. In order to meet the special requirements of each application, Aqua-Guard carefully selects the appropriate boom materials, flotation method, design and specification. We give due consideration of operating environment, conditions, deployment and recovery techniques. Our line of booms includes:

Aqua-Guard's trained technical staff provide commissioning and operator instructions on the use of our equipment to complement our comprehensive manuals.
