Hitachi Plant Technologies and Mayekawa Manufacturing have agreed to form a joint venture to cooperate in the field of compressors for oil, gas and chemical plants.
The joint venture will set up its headquarters in Sao Paulo, Brazil, along with maintenance facilities at the plant, which will be operated by Mayekawa’s local subsidiary, Mayekawa Do Brazil.

The joint venture will handle all of Hitachi’s centrifugal compressors and reciprocating compressors as well as Mayekawa’s screw compressors, and will provide repair and maintenance services to compressors supplied by other companies.
The new firm will enable Hitachi Plant Technologies to bolster its compressor sales and establish maintenance operations. It will also help Mayekawa Manufacturing further strengthen its compressor maintenance business in Brazil.
