For the development, it is necessary to involve the blocks of the Southern Pars gas field, which Gazprom is developing, Shmatko added.

According to Sibur, in a joint venture with NPC, the company could build a petrochemical plant producing bulk polyolefin on the base of a phase of the Southern Pars gas field.

The Russian company also has plans to export the facility’s produce.
